Northshore Towing chooses OnScene Solutions towing software

Northshore Towing of
Evanston, IL is a 17 truck operation, performing Police
Towing, Charity Donation, PPI's and some motor club work.
Bob Cole, owner of Northshore Towing, also has Northshore
Recycling, a salvage yard that needs to manage scrap
vehicles on a daily basis.
Problem
Northshore was
running multiple systems to keep up with requirements. An
older DOS-based towing software application that managed the
details of towing and dispatch services. A second system to manage
salvage inventory and a 3rd system to manage vehicle
sales. The tow software application had no dispatch view for
fleet utilization, or any other integrated applications
for fleet monitoring. Driver communication was done using
Verizon cell phones, so getting call details to a driver
took time and money.
All call
details would then be manually re-entered into Peach Tree
Accounting.
Solution
Bob was looking for a
completely integrated solution to manage his entire
process, whether a police tow, a donated car, a PPI or
motor club call. Bob chose to implement the InTow Digital
Dashboard Suite. From his call dispatching terminals,
Northshore can now view their entire fleet with
integrated GPS and Microsoft MapPoint maps running
locally. The color-coded priority dispatch window allows
Northshore complete control of calls to be performed
based on importance. Call details are sent to drivers via
the Blackberry 6510, and drivers can update the dispatch
window at the office from their Blackberry device.
(EnRoute, OnScene, InTow, Arrived and Cleared). Getting
call information to drivers just got a whole lot easier
and no mis-communication between dispatch and
driver.
Custom reports were produced
for salvage or sold vehicles including a notification
system for when the vehicles are to be crushed, replacing
existing standalone software for managing this
process.
As calls are cleared and
priced, the details are then synchronized to QuickBooks
Accounting Enterprise Edition, completely the
process.
