Byers Wrecker Service chooses OnScene Solutions towing software

Byers
Wrecker Service
Byers Wrecker Service of
Rochester Hills, MI is owned and operated by Bill Byers,
President of the Michigan Towing Association. Byers
Wrecker Service is the areas largest Police Towing
contractor with a fleet of 30 vehicles (Heavy, Medium and
Light Duty) and 3 locations, operating as 1
company.
Problem
Byers existing
computer software was very limited. It required Byers
Wrecker Service to operate standalone systems at each
location. With no integration between facilities of both
dispatching and accounting records, proper control of his
company was a daunting task. In addition, with a new
program launched by AAA, automatic calculations of
services rendered could not be performed, and dispatchers
would have to reply on a calculator to determine proper
service pricing. This made reconciliation of the AAA
account very difficult.
Such
inefficiency was a familiar and, ultimately, unacceptable
scenario for Byers Wrecker Service.
Solution
Byers Wrecker Service
has now implemented the InTow Manager Software Suite.
Bill now has complete control of all 3 of his service
locations. A wide area network running over standard DSL
Internet (with firewalls in place for proper security),
now gives Bill the flexibility to centralize dispatch
operations and manage all accounts receivable from his
main office. In addition, his AAA price structure allows
for the selection and auto-calculation of all services
rendered. Byers also added InTow Messenger for automatic
dispatching of call details to Verizon pagers and
Microsoft MapPoint integration, providing even more
efficiency gains for his dispatch team.
"This is the 3rd system I have
purchased, and I can finally run this one
myself"...Bill was very impressed with InTow's
ease-of-use and logical design compared to his former
software program. His total install and training required
2 days on site and he is now benefiting from the many
advanced features InTow has to offer.
